ACTIVITIES

Knowledge of initiatives for the promotion of local ecosystems in favour of the energy transition and the promotion of geothermal energy and their availability at a local level in the Atlantic Arc.

Development of skills though traning and consulting at different levels for the promotion of the energetic transition of local communities.

 

Research and transfer skills and capacities at the local level for the reinforcement of the chain of the geothermal energy sector. Entrepreneurship in favour of geothermal energy.

Promotion of frameworks in favour of geothermal energy from the local administration and promotion of demostrative initiatives and tractors towards the energy transition.

Objetives and priority axes

One of the objectives of the EU Energy Strategy is to move beyond an economy based on fossil fuels. The new directive on renewable energy proposes as a binding target for the UE that at least 27% of its energy comes from renewable sources by 2030. Many of the changes that this transition involves will be noticed in cities and municipalities.

PROMOTING RESOURCE EFFICIENCY

  Encourage the transtition to a low carbon economy in all sectors.

  Promote the production and distribution of energy derived from renewable sources.

  Promote renewable energies and energy efficiency.
