03 Mar They detect seven points of thermal water capable of supplying a spa hotel in As Burgas
The study commissioned by the Xunta de Galicia to know if the emergences of thermal water around As Burgas have enough flow to make a spa hotel in the area, work done for months by the firm Geocisa, have borne fruit and detect seven outlets of thermal water, only in the area of As Burgas, which are capable of general 7.4 liters of medicinal mineral water per second, which would be enough to feed a spa hotel in the area, with more than 1,000 thermal treatments a day.
The mayor of Ourense, Jesús Vázquez, and the conselleiro of Economy, Employment and Industry, Francisco Conde, analyzed during a recent encounter the result of these analyses, the first in firmes to know if when speaking of thermal spa in that environment, there were in fact resources to materialize them.
According to Geocisa’s work, with the potentially exploitable flows in the lands of the former prison (which include both the point of exit of thermal water from this area and those located in the Xardín de las Burgas and in the Baños de Outeiro) the results are optimal. “These data clear the possibilities offered by the environment as a thermal engine of the city, since they would make viable the construction of a spa hotel adjusted and dimensioned to that flow,” says the mayor of Ourense.
