The Council of Ourense will develop a plan to know and assess the possibilities presented by the use of geothermal energy in the city. The mayor and deputy mayor, Gonzalo Pérez Jácome and Jorge Pumar, met with Nemesio Pérez Rodríguez, director of work and environment area of ITER (Institute of Technology and Renewable Energy of Tenerife), to address the project to be executed in the city within Geoatlantic, an initiative supported by Interreg Atlantic Area.a.
