Self-sustainable buildings mark the future of architecture in Europe

The XIII Symposium was organized by Expourense with the advice of the company ourensana Investigación Geotérmica (INGEO). It counted on the collaboration of the City Council of Ourense, through the Economic Promotion Area. The director of Expourense Administration, Cristina Álvarez; the event coordinator and manager of INGEO, Alfredo Fernández, and the acting councillor for Economic Promotion of Ourense, Jorge Pumar, participated in the opening of the day.

It has been the space chosen to present the progress made in the Geoatlantic project, a transnational cooperation initiative led by the Council of Ourense that aims to promote sustainable development using renewable energy. This project seeks, in general, to promote the use of geothermal energy in communities through the joint development of tools and methodologies that create the necessary conditions to promote the energy transition in the Atlantic Area through the implementation of favorable local ecosystems, for the promotion of geothermal resources.
